From Tuesday 1 April the Hydrant Programme and Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Taskforce will join the National Police Chiefs’ Council Strategic Hub.

Since Hydrant was formed in 2014, the programme has been hosted by Norfolk Constabulary, who we would like to thank for their help and support. Over the last ten years Hydrant has grown in scope and ambition, and with this new alignment to the National Police Chiefs Council, we will continue to deliver an ambitious programme of projects, working with partners and supporting forces all with the aim of expanding our work to support victims and survivors of child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Richard Fewkes, Director of The Hydrant Programme and CSE Taskforce said:

“As a programme, we are delighted that we are now formally joined with the NPCC, who we already work so closely with. As a programme our focus always holds victims and survivors at the very centre of our work and by joining the NPCC Strategic Hub we will strengthen our already excellent relationship with colleagues who embrace the same mission as my team. We will continue to protect children and young people from abuse and exploitation, working with partners and forces across England and Wales. I’m excited to share with you the many plans we have for the next 12 months, and would like to thank all those who have worked so hard to ensure a smooth transition from our friends at Norfolk, to our new home with the NPCC”
